The research findings using the method have been presented at scientific congresses and in scientific journals since 1999.The method is very sensitive. It is the first method based on the measurement of emotional sweating that has been able to measure pain responses in preterm infants. We found an immediate increase in skin conductance variables when the pain stimuli started and an immediate decrease when the pain stimuli ceased. This study was published in 2000. Hanne Storm received SND's 1st Price of Innovative projects (The Reodor Price)

SND (Norwegian Industrial and regional Development Fund), SVO (Norwegian Government Consultative Office for Inventors) and the municipality of Oslo allocated grants to support Stage II of the project.
